The 27-year-old designer, who is known for his colorful and scary creations, close to works of art, wore one of the paintings to the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.
It’s a romantic interlude, a stroll through the National Library, featuring the loving trio as Jules and Jim, to the music of Cassius among others, ending with a red heart drawn in the sky by a French patrol. For this new “picture” of the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics, many dancers, but also circus artists on their feet, put on a stunning and lively show on the theme of Parisian love. All were dressed in colorful creations designed by young designer Charles de Vilmore.
At just 27, this French talent, who worked for the house of Rochas, made a name for himself in the fashion world, even though he was barely 22 when he presented his first collection. Within 5 years, he was able to impose his unique universe, composed of creatures straight out of a fantasy tale, with intense and pronounced colors. In addition to his fashion shows, which take place during Paris Haute Couture Week, the young man with a slender figure has learned to work on various projects. He most recently decorated Yannick Alléno’s pop-up restaurant, Moët in Paris by Alléno, in Beau Passage, Paris. And she has designed hundreds of dresses, each one more wonderful than the last, for this grand ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which showcases the talent of French designers. And so is his.
