The original historical series Decameron was released on Netflix, starring Ukrainian actor Alexander Rudinsky.

Ukrainian actor Alexander Rudinsky played in the Netflix series Decameron. He announced this on his Instagram page.

The series, based on a collection of short stories by Giovanni Boccaccio, was released on July 25. In it, Rudinsky played the role of an eyeless bandit, who appeared in three episodes of the series.

“Eyeless Bandit is another one of my brothers. He loves money and girls, but he doesn’t have them,” the actor said about his character.

According to Alexander, filming took place in Italy. Some scenes were shot over several days, which is unusual for the production of Ukrainian TV series. In particular, the final scene of the first episode took four days of filming.

We remind you that the Decameron is a historical series with eight episodes based on the collection of short stories by Giovanni Boccaccio. The events took place in Italy in 1348, during the plague pandemic. Several nobles and their servants retreat to a villa to wait out the epidemic, but their lives become a game of survival.
