Min Hee Jin accuses HYBE of using NewJeans in BTS music video without permission

In leaked email, Min Hee Jin reveals that HYBE used NewJeans members in BTS’ ‘Permission to Dance’ music video “without prior agreement”

After NewJeans’ debut, many fans noticed that some of the members had made a special appearance in the music video for BTS’ single “Permission to Dance”, released in July 2021. For fans, until then, the artists’ presence was a small spoiler of the new girl group, which would debut as a surprise a year later.

However, this Tuesday, 23rd, Min Hee JinCEO of ADOR, a subsidiary company of HYBE and responsible for managing NewJeans’ career, revealed that, in fact, he had not given authorization for the then trainees to participate in the MV.

Through an email sent in the same year to Park Ji WonCEO of HYBE, released by Hee Jin Today, the businesswoman expresses her discontent with the presence of trainees “without prior agreement”.

“By the way, along with other things including how you introduced the girl group trainees in BTS’s music video without prior arrangement, I started to feel that there were continuous impolite actions. I am aware of the fact that there are many things happening that make it difficult for me to trust Source Music or HYBE in the future,” Min Hee Jin says in the email (via Koreaboo).

To date, HYBE has not yet commented on the matter. The case is still ongoing.
