JYP Entertainment to open subsidiary in Latin America

Home to groups such as TWICE and Stray Kids, JYP Entertainment will launch a subsidiary in Latin America. According to the Soompi portal, the new label, which should expand the regions for tours and strengthen the community of fans living in this region of the American continent, is expected to launch in the third quarter of 2024.

Additionally, the agency is also looking to join forces with Universal Music Latino, a Latin record label under Universal Music Group, to launch a Latin girl group that will be formed through a new project: an audition program titled “LatinAmerica2Korea” (L2K).

It is worth remembering that, in 2023, JYP, in partnership with Republic Records, which is the No. 1 record label in the United States, produced the audition program called “America2Korea” (A2K), where several young women performed in cities in North America, including Atlanta, Chicago, New York, Dallas and Los Angeles, to form a new group.
