Check out some of the classic hand-drawn animations released by The Walt Disney Studios
With the great advancement of technology, new techniques have been created to help in the production of our favorite films. In animations, for example, it is common these days to find productions that are made entirely using computers.
In the past, when these technologies did not yet exist, animated films used to be made by hand, bringing together the talent of countless animators to make the work come to life.
With that in mind, RECREIO has put together a list of 5 Disney animations that were hand-drawn. Check it out!
1. ‘The Princess and the Frog’ (2009)
Synopsis: “Tiana (Anika Noni Rose) is a beautiful young woman who lives in New Orleans. Since she was a child, she has dreamed of having her own restaurant, which leads her to work two jobs and save as much money as possible. In order to earn the money she needs to finally rent the property of her dreams, she accepts to work at the party held by Charlotte Labouff (Jennifer Cody), her childhood friend. Charlotte wants to win over Prince Naveen (Bruno Campos), who has just arrived in town. However, an incident causes Tiana to change her clothes and, in Charlotte’s room, wear one of her dresses. That’s when a frog appears, announcing that he is a prince and asking Tiana to give him a kiss so that the spell placed on him can be broken. At first, Tiana finds the idea repulsive, but accepts when she receives the promise that he will get her the money needed to pay the rent. However, when she kisses him, instead of him becoming human again, it is Tiana who turns into a frog!

Three elderly fairies, Flora, Fauna and Merryweather, pose as peasant women and raise the young princess, whom they name Rose, living in the middle of the forest where Maleficent can’t find her. One day, riding through the woods, Prince Philip sees Rose and the two fall in love at first sight. But Rose learns from the fairies that she is a princess and must return to the castle immediately to fulfill her royal duties. There, Maleficent finds Aurora alone in the tower.
