The incredible and mysterious story of the photo album of a Belgian woman who posed with hundreds of celebrities.

Will Smith, Kate Winslet, Johnny Depp… In 2016, a mysterious album containing photos of an anonymous woman immortalized with hundreds of celebrities was discovered in a Belgian thrift store.

We’ve never seen so many celebrities in one place, not even on the red carpet. In 2016, Belgian goods store Opnieuw & Co actually restored the mysterious photo album. In these photos, an unnamed woman poses with nearly 200 Hollywood bigwigs. We see him next to Bruce Willis, Julia Roberts, Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise and Kate Winslet. But also Will Smith, Denzel Washington, Harrison Ford and Tom Hanks. Intrigued, the store’s employees at the time posted an announcement on Facebook to identify the curly-haired woman whose notebook was left at their store’s donation point on February 6, 2016.

Hollywood Foreign Press Association

“We still don’t know how the album came to us,” said the representative of the store Bored panda . One of our employees looked through it and realized it wasn’t something you voluntarily got rid of.” A few days later, thrift store managers tracked down the mysterious owner. It was actually Belgian journalist Maria Snoys-Lagler. The daily local photographer Het Laatste Neuws noticed his name on the badge around his neck.

Maria Snoys-Lagler was also part of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, whose members from 55 different countries vote to choose the Golden Globe winners. This allowed the main interested party to get to know quite a number of actors in the 1990s. Employees at the thrift store, however, sent the collection of photos to her daughter, who now lives in California.
