The group’s lack of participation in the Grammy Museum exhibition was ADOR’s decision

HYBE has confirmed that NewJeans will not be participating in HYBE’s collaboration with the Grammy Museum by ADOR’s own decision; find out more!

On Wednesday, the 10th, HYBE confirmed that NewJeans will not participate in HYBE’s collaboration with the Grammy Museum by decision of ADOR itself. Through a statement to the South Korean newspaper Sports Kyunghyang (via Koreaboo), the conglomerate stated that “the option to participate in this exhibition was decided and chosen by the record company.”

On Tuesday, the 9th, netizens and fans of the girl group showed their outrage on social media after the collaboration was announced. The image highlighted the main names of k-pop artists managed by HYBE, but there was criticism due to the fact that other artists, such as the group KATSEYE, from HYBE America, and Zicoknown as the CEO of KOZ Entertainment, were present, while NewJeans was notably absent; see:

The “HYBE: We Believe in Music” exhibition is a partnership between HYBE and the Grammy Museum, featuring a vast collection of items from various artists of the company, and is considered one of the museum’s largest to date. According to Michael StickaCEO of the Grammy Museum, the main goal of the exhibition is to offer fans a closer look at their favorite artists:

HYBE and its artists represent the present and future of the global music scene, and our goal with this exhibition is to deepen appreciation and respect for its creators and performers. HYBE has contributed to creating a playground of innovation that inspires fandoms that transcend age, gender, geography and more. The GRAMMY Museum is thrilled to provide a space where fans can express their love for K-pop and feel closer to their favorite idols.”

The exhibition will run from August 2 to September 15, and will feature items from a variety of artists, including BTS, SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER.
