After almost 10 months on hiatus, the member Liaof ITZYwill return to her activities with the girl group.
In September 2023, JYP Entertainment communicated to fans that Lia would take a break from his career for health reasons, but, this Monday, the 8th, through the JYP Fans app (via Soompi), the agency shared an official statement informing about the news; check it out:
Hello. This is JYP Entertainment.
This is an announcement regarding ITZY member Lia’s health status and her return to activities.
After treatment and rest, tension and anxiety symptoms improved significantly.
Therefore, after careful discussion with Lia, it was decided that she will resume her activities starting with ITZY’s new album, scheduled to be released in the second half of this year.
However, for prearranged schedules and filming before the release of the new album, only the four members (Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, Yuna) will be participating. We kindly ask for your understanding.
We sincerely thank the fans who have shown warm encouragement and support for Lia’s recovery.
We remain committed to supporting our artists so they can meet their fans in a healthy environment.

Additionally, shortly before the statement was released, ITZY participated in a live broadcast celebrating the fifth anniversary of their fan club, MIDZY. Lia was also present during the live, which caused great commotion among fans.
