The meeting between the artists happened due to the promotional tour for “Deadpool & Wolverine”, which will be released on July 25. However, the connection between Stray Kids and Deadpool began during the boy group’s participation in the Mnet reality show “Kingdom: Legendary War”, in 2021. During the program, the group prepared a cover of BLACKPINK’s song “DDU-DU DDU-DU”, incorporating elements inspired by the iconic Marvel character.
The presentation ended up catching the attention of Ryan Reynoldswho soon became a fan of Stray Kids. In fact, the actor also shared two posts with the members of the boy group, one of them introducing them both as his “two favorite Australians”; see:
