‘Teca and Tuti: A Night in the Library’ is a Brazilian animation made mostly of stop motion animated scenes
Brazilian animation, ‘Teca and Tuti: A Night in the Library’ has its days counted until it hits national cinemas! In preparation for the premiere, Vitrine Filmes shared, exclusively with RECREIO, the official trailer for the plot; check it out!
The film’s synopsis reads: “The little moth Teca lives with her family and her faithful pet mite Tuti in a sewing box. What they like most is to eat paper, but when Teca learns to read, she realizes that books cannot be eaten, after all they hold the stories she loves. Determined to solve a great mystery, Teca and Tuti set off for the library, in search of the most important story of their lives.”
It is worth mentioning that the animated title began to be made in 2012, since, in addition to featuring real actors and scenarios, it is composed, for the most part, of stop motion scenes – a technique where the film takes shape through photographs in sequence – requiring more than 30 thousand photos of articulated dolls positioned on a real miniature film set so that they could move, sing and walk in the scenes.
Furthermore, to take shape, the production has the general direction of Lost Edward, Tiago MAL It is Diego M. Doimo (who also wrote the script), while the art direction is in charge of Matthew Riosillustrator of children’s books, such as ‘She has sky eyes’, by Help Acioli. The songs, both unreleased and original, are written by Helio Ziskinda musician who composed themes for programs such as ‘Cocoricó’ and ‘Castelo Rá-Tim-Bum’.
Produced by Rocambole Produções and distributed by LPB Content in co-distribution with Vitrine Filmes, ‘Teca and Tuti: A Night in the Library’ opens on July 25th.
