IN VIDEO – The tennis champion has published a video of the new cut of the skirt in her Instagram microblog, in which she has been trying to fit since the end of January.
Serena Williams claims. In late January, five months after giving birth to her second child, the tennis champion shared a video on social media of herself trying to fit into a denim skirt she bought while pregnant. If this first attempt ended in failure, the forty-year-old girl agreed to meet her 17.2 million subscribers in a few months for another device.
“Thanks for showing that you have the same struggles as us”
On May 22, America’s Champion then posted another video of her trying on the famous skirt. The test failed once again, but Serena Williams’ subscribers largely applauded her initiative and transparency. “Thank you for doing this and showing that postpartum is a real process even for high level athletes,” one subscriber commented. “Thanks for showing that you face the same challenges as us: train, try, train again, adapt, try again,” responded another. A third, in turn, believed that Serena Williams’ challenge replicated a problem faced by many women around the world.
“I really can’t breathe”
This 1eh In July, the mother of Olympia (6 years old) and Adira River (10 months) posted a new video on her Instagram page. “Okay, we’re back,” she begins, facing the camera, clutching a Valentino denim skirt. “Let’s see where I stand. It’s been a long road, thanks for coming with me. (…) Let’s say a prayer and not be negative. Let’s not pretend it won’t work out,” he jokes.
The six-time Wimbledon champion then slips her legs inside the skirt, pulls it on, and looks upbeat. “I think it’s working. We don’t have a problem with our butts anymore,” he gloats, before immediately pulling back with a laugh. “We still have a small problem.” Because if Serena Williams can actually put the dress on and button it, she still can’t operate the zipper. “A few more weeks of effort. (…) I really can’t breathe,” he says, promising his subscribers that the next video will be the right one and the last one.
