This French specialty deserves a medal… But that will not prevent the culinary offer offered to 14,500 athletes to go down in the annals of the Olympic Games. Because, for the first time, in addition to respecting their nutritional needs, the catering of the champions will be local and gastronomic. Sheltered within the walls of the Cité du cinéma in Saint-Denis, the canteen of the Olympic Village will be the largest restaurant in the world, able to host 3,500 people at a time, providing 40,000 meals a day and around forty main dishes; third, 100% plant-based – as well as 120 daily specials for a total of 500 recipes, made with ingredients from up to 250 kilometers away.
