Meet all the members who have been part of BIGBANG, a renowned second-generation K-pop group
Being one of the most influential boy groups in K-pop, responsible for creating countless trends, BIGBANG was formed by YG Entertainment in August 2006, debuting with the track “We Belong Together”. Remember!
In their 18-year career, the second-generation group has released countless hits, including tracks such as “BANG BANG BANG”, “Fantastic Baby”, “Loser”, “FXXK IT”, “Haru Haru”, among others. Their most recent release was in April 2022, with the track “Still Life”. Watch the video!

G-Dragon
Kwon Ji Yongbetter known as G-Dragon, is the leader, main rapper, vocalist and face of the group. He was born on August 18, 1988 in Seoul, South Korea and is currently with the Galaxy Corporation agency. Before debuting, he was a trainee at SM Entertainment at the age of eight, and is childhood friends with TOPalso from BIGBANG, and Kangin, former Super Junior. At 12, he went to YG, where he met Taeyangwith whom he almost debuted in the duo GDYB, before plans changed and three more members were added, forming BIGBANG.
Taeyang

Main vocalist and main dancer, Dong Yong BaeO Taeyangwas born on May 18, 1988 in Gyeonggi-do, South Korea, and is currently under the label THEBLACKLABEL. In 2008, he debuted solo with the mini-album “Hot” and, in 2014, he debuted in the sub-unit GD X TAEYANG alongside G-Dragon with the single-album “Good Boy”. In 2013, he began a relationship with the actress Min Hyorinwhom he married in 2018, and had their first child in 2021.
Daesung

Kang Daesung is the lead vocalist and current maknae of BIGBANG. He was born on April 26, 1989 in Incheon, South Korea, and is currently with R&D Company. His debut as a soloist took place in 2008 with the trot song “Look At Me Gwisun” and, in 2013, he released his first song in Japanese “D’scover”. Since then, the majority of his discography has been Japanese. Currently, he has been focusing on his YouTube channel, 집대성 (Zip Daesung).

Born November 4, 1987, Choi Seung-hyunO TOPwas the lead rapper, vocalist, visual and oldest member of BIGBANG. He left YG Entertainment in 2022 after the end of his contract, but still participated in the group’s most recent comeback with “Still Life”. On May 31, 2023, through social media, he confirmed that he had left the formation to focus on his solo career, being the second member to leave the group.
Seungri

Lee Seung HyunO Seungri, was the group’s lead dancer, vocalist and original maknae. He was born on December 12, 2020 in Gwangju, South Korea, and officially retired from the entertainment industry on March 11, 2019 after being involved in a series of controversies, including the Burning Sun scandal. In January 2020, was indicted by the South Korean police for alleged participation in illegal gambling, economic crimes, mediation of prostitution and involvement in sexual violence, being sentenced in August 2021 to a sentence of three years in prison and a fine of 1.15 billion won (about 990 thousand dollars). Seungri was released on February 9, 2023, after serving his sentence.
