Here she talks about her photo shoot with Vasiliki-Ypapanti Liku, a sportswoman who suffers from mental disability. “Vasiliki-Ypapanti Lykou is an athlete of Special Olympics Hellas, a Greek non-profit sports and educational organization officially recognized as a federation. Founded in 1988, Special Olympics Hellas provides training opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities in twenty-two Olympic-style sports. Through participation in training and competition, athletes develop physically, mentally, socially and spiritually by participating in the joy of sport in an environment of respect and acceptance. Vasiliki is 27 years old and excelled at the 2023 Special Olympics in Berlin, winning four gold medals in his category (powerlifting).
