At the request of NCTzen, Mark revealed to fans in an interview some of his favorite films; find out what they are!
During various interviews, it is common to see Idols interacting with fans on topics that go beyond their own careers, such as, for example, film or series recommendations. In an interview with W Korea (via Koreaboo) Markof NCT, shared at the request of an NCTzen, some recommendations of his favorite films, as the artist also considers himself a big fan of cinema; find out what they are!
1. The Truman Show
The first film that Mark indicates is the classic “The Truman Show”. Winner of three statuettes at the 1999 Golden Globes, the plot introduces us to protagonist Truman Burbank, a man who doesn’t know that his life is being broadcast on a reality show to billions of people around the world. When Truman begins to suspect the truth, he decides to embark on a quest to find out what is really happening to his life.
Even though it premiered more than 20 years ago, “The Truman Show” still remains one of the most emblematic productions of the turn of the 20th century to the 21st and of the career of Jim Carrey. During the story, we were able to reflect on various issues associated with human behavior and the mental prison related to limiting beliefs and thoughts that block our growth.
2. Good Will Hunting
Another classic that Idol couldn’t leave out was “Good Will Hunting”. Starring the trio Matt Damon, Ben Affleck It is Rob Williams, the story follows a young delinquent with police experience who works as a janitor at a famous university in Boston. After revealing that he has a great talent for mathematics, an analyst offers to help him overcome his traumas and psychological difficulties.
The production won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay for Damon It is Affleckin addition to the statuette for Best Supporting Actor for Robin Williams. At first, the plot appears predictable, but as the minutes progress, it brings deep reflections on love, loss and what it really means to be a “genius”.
3. Women’s Perfume
Based on the Italian novel Il buio and il miele, of the writer Giovanni Arpino, Mark’s third and final nomination is “Scent of a Woman”. In the film, we follow Frank, a retired military man, blind and difficult to live with. One day, his niece hires young Charlie to take care of him during Thanksgiving, but no one counted on Frank’s idea of spending the holiday in New York.
Despite being almost 3 hours long, the film is anything but tiring. The charisma of Al Pacino in the role of Frank is enough to please any viewer, which also earned him his first and only Oscar for Best Actor in 1993.
