Culture Quest: Ukraine received a Daytime Emmy Award in the Outstanding Special Program category.
On Tuesday, June 11, the winners of the prestigious Daytime Emmy Film Awards were announced in the United States. One of the awards was given to a film about Ukraine. The creators of the project reported it on social networks.
Specifically, a category award Outstanding Special Program received the project Cultural Quest: Ukraine.
“This victory, and there are no two opinions, is accompanied by both happy and sad feelings, if we compare it to the disturbing reality of the war taking place in Ukraine, I have no words to convey how I wish , so that my Ukrainian friends will be able to go up to the Emmy stage and receive this award in person… However, this is often not the reality in which Ukrainians live today,” the message said.
The focus is on people from Ukraine’s cultural sector who are doing their best to preserve wartime cultural heritage, inspire their fellow citizens and remind the world of the war Russia is waging.
“In many respects, this journey has been incredible, and although there are still many different difficulties along the way, we have seen them, we have talked about them, there is not an iota of doubt that the people we met are naturally strong, and the Ukrainian people are determined to fight for their country and their culture,” noted the authors of the film.
It is known that the director of the project is Ian Grant. Ukrainian singer Nata Zhizhchenko became a creative producer and appeared in the frame.
“This is really an outstanding event and an opportunity to show our cultural heritage to the world and remind us of Ukraine again,” commented the artist.
