The first footage from the filming of Gladiator 2 has surfaced

Hollywood actor Paul Mescal was first seen on the set of the movie Gladiators 2. The Daily Mail reported this.

It is known that he will play Lucius Verus, the adult son of Lucilla, who was portrayed as a child in the 2000 Oscar-winning film starring Russell Crowe.

Judging by the makeup, Mescal’s character took part in a bloody battle.

First shot Gladiators 2 took place in Morocco, these reshoots took place in Hove in East Sussex, England.

It has been revealed that the sequel will focus on Lucius (Paul), Commodus’ nephew and the son of his former lover Maximus Lucilla (Conne Nielsen). The film takes place after the death of Maximus.

Denzel Washington also stars as an unrevealed character, described as a former slave turned wealthy arms dealer who hates emperors.

Original stars Gladiator Connie Nielsen and Derek Jacobi are set to return for the film’s sequel.
