Min Hee Jin, CEO of ADOR, won an injunction that prohibits HYBE from voting to have her fired from her position at the agency
Last Thursday, 30th, Min Hee Jin, CEO of ADOR, won the injunction whose purpose is to prevent HYBE from exercising the right to vote in favor of his dismissal at the extraordinary meeting of ADOR shareholders scheduled for May 31st. This way, the businesswoman will continue in the position that places her at the top of the agency’s operational hierarchy.
The provisional court order, requested by the businesswoman on May 7, was granted by the Seoul Central District Court which, as reported by the Soompi portal, declared that “the reasons for the dismissal or resignation of Min Hee Jin alleged by HYBE have not been sufficiently substantiated.”
More than that, the court stated: “Although the actions of Min Hee Jin may be considered betrayal of HYBE, it is difficult to say that they constitute actions of breach of trust in relation to ADOR”.
ADOR x HYBE
It is worth remembering that the conflict between ADOR and the conglomerate to which the agency belongs, HYBEbegan on April 22, when it was revealed that ADOR would undergo an audit following suspicions that it was trying to become independent of the label.
At the time, HYBE also requested the resignation of Min Hee Jin of the position he holds in the company, which is one of those accused of conspiring in favor of withdrawing the management rights of HYBE, which has an 80% stake in ADOR.
However, Min Hee Jin states that the problem between the companies arose for another reason: the accusation, made by ADOR, that BELIFT LAB, another subsidiary of the conglomerate, copied the NewJeans concept for the agency’s new group, ILLIT.
