Terminator could be part of the new DC universe in cinema, points out James Gunn

The villain Deathstroke, who appeared in the post-credits scene of ‘Justice League’, may be close to debuting in the new DC universe in theaters

According to james gunn, co-CEO of DC Studios, the villain Terminator could appear in the new phase of DC in theaters. Through social media, the director and screenwriter confirmed in response to a fan that he has plans for the character. In the comment replies, james gunn responded with a winking emoji, confirming that the villain will appear in the studio’s next productions.

The Terminator was played by the actor Joe Manganiello, making his first appearance in the “Justice League” post-credits scene. The character was also considered a villain in Batman’s solo film, with Ben Affleck in direction, but the project was never actually completed.

In addition to plans for the Terminator, james gunn will also be responsible for the new Superman film, which will be played by David Corenswet and will mark the beginning of DC’s new phase in theaters. The film is scheduled to premiere on July 11, 2025.
