Following the repercussions of a new report, HYBE clarified the rumors about the supposed new management of NewJeans. Read the statement!
This Thursday, the 23rd, the South Korean press published a new report from HYBE with updates on the changes that should take place in the management of ADOR, a company currently led by Min Hee Jin. The information is from Soompi.
According to industry representatives, the document points out that it is expected that, with the dismissal of the current members of ADOR’s board of directors, which should take place at the next extraordinary shareholders’ meeting scheduled to be held on May 31, Lee Jae Sangstrategy director, Kim Ju Youngdirector of human resources and Lee Kyung Junchief financial officer, all current HYBE employees, be appointed to the new board.
Furthermore, the report would also highlight that there is a possibility that, if a large part of ADOR’s employees resign due to the changes, one of the conglomerate’s subsidiaries could temporarily take over the management of NewJeans’ careers. The publication, however, does not reveal the name of the company that will possibly be responsible for managing the girl group.
Following the repercussion of the document, HYBE issued a press release, clarifying the situation:
“We would like to provide an explanation as reports circulate about the composition of ADOR’s management.
ADOR’s documented CEO has not yet been determined.
It is also not true that another brand could take over production [do NewJeans].
The roles and scope of the three director candidates, as well as organizational stabilization and support plans, will be announced as soon as they are decided.”
