Movies rated R may be viewed by persons under the age of 17 in the presence of a parent or legal guardian.
Disney has allowed the upcoming film about Deadpool and Wolverine to receive an R rating, reports Variety.
The film will be the first Deadpool film to be released under the Disney brand since it was acquired by Fox, which produced Reynolds’ first two R-rated Deadpool films, each grossing just over $780 million at the global box office .
Comic book fans feared that Disney’s commitment to family-friendly films would hurt the franchise’s ratings, but a panel of experts ruled that some of the film’s material was intended for adults.
Therefore, Deadpool and Wolverine are rated R, allowing director Shawn Levy and producer Ryan Reynolds to continue the raunchy humor in the third film in the franchise.
“I hope this doesn’t sound condescending, but I’m really proud of them for it. I think it’s a huge step for them,” Reynolds commented about Disney allowing the film to be rated R. “Love I mean, it adds a whole different flavor to it.” on that kaleidoscopic wheel was the company and the various people they used to entertain.
It was earlier reported that Marvel Studios has unveiled the second full trailer for the superhero film “Deadpool” and “Wolverine”.
