On the night of last Wednesday, the 15th, the official Disney+ profile on X (formerly Twitter) released a message referring to the animation “X-Men 97”. With the word “continue” and a hashtag with the name of the production, streaming confirmed that they will continue with the story in the coming years; check out:

The previous week, on May 9, the series creator Beau DeMayo also revealed through another comment on X that he planned five seasons for the animated series; look:

The new version of the cartoon, which was originally broadcast in the 1990s, is a direct continuation of the 5th season, which had the last episode released in 1997. With the new chapters, the plot revisits its iconic past, when the X-Men, A group of mutants who use their gifts to protect a world that hates and fears them are forced to face a dangerous and unexpected new future.
