Check out some classic ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ characters who deserved to return for the ‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’ revival
Last Tuesday, the 14th, Disney released new official images for the revival of “Wizards of Waverly Place”, which will be titled “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place”.
Starring David Henrie, the new series will follow Justin giving up his powers after a mysterious accident happens at WizTech, and starting an ordinary life alongside his wife and two children. However, everything could change when a young witch appears on his doorstep, and he must embrace her past to help train her.
In addition to the return of David in the role of Justin, other stars from the main cast were also confirmed in the production. Among them, we have Selena GomezAlex, and the interpreters of Jerry and Teresa Russo, David DeLuise It is Maria Canals Barrerathe parents of this large family.
With that in mind, RECREIO has put together a list of 5 classic characters from “Wizards of Waverly Place” that we would like to see in “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place”. Check it out!
5. Juliet
In the last episode of “Wizards of Waverly Place”, Justin is still dating Juliet, a vampire character played by Bridgit Mendler. With the new images, we discovered that the couple ended up separating, and today the Russos’ eldest son is married to another woman. Julieta’s return for the new episodes would be interesting to present what caused the breakup, and what the relationship between the two was like.
4. Mason

The werewolf Mason, played by Gregg Sulkin, was also Alex’s last boyfriend featured in the series, as well as being a fan favorite. Unfortunately, the couple did not finish production together, and it is unknown what happened to the two in the future. The new images have not yet revealed whether Alex is in a new relationship, however, it would be very interesting to see what Mason is like nowadays, and what their lives were like after the breakup.
3. Steve
The rebellious Stevie (Hayley Kiyoko) was Alex’s best witch friend, until the two grew apart when she was sent to an island for six months for “Soul Rehab”, after starting a wizard revolution with the aim of replacing the energy distributor.

During an appearance on the Wizards of Waverly Pod podcast, the series’ showrunner, Peter Murrietarevealed that Alex and Stevie should have been in a relationship, but that they did not have the opportunity to explore this romance after Disney vetoed the possibility — something that could happen in the revival.
2. Harper
Being Alex’s best friend, Harper (Jennifer Stone) plays an important role in the series from the beginning. In addition to her friendship with the middle Russo, she spent a long time in love with Justin, as well as being the first human outside the family to learn about her powers, and living in the Russo house for a while.

So far, Disney has not yet confirmed the character’s participation in the revival, leaving many fans worried since, for many admirers, the story may be incomplete without Harper’s presence, even if it is for a special appearance telling what happened in his life after the end of the series.
1. Max

A character that has not yet been confirmed, but that needs to appear in the series, even if it is just for a special appearance, is Max, the youngest of the Russos played by the actor Jake T. Austin. At the end of “Wizards of Waverly Place”, the boy loses the wizard competition and, consequently, is left without powers, but becomes the new owner of the family diner. Seeing how Max’s life turned out after adulthood would be something interesting to cover in the new production.
