The house of Chopard presents us with 77 high-end jewels that stars will wear on the red carpet at this 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival.
Chopard is inseparable from the Cannes festival. Julia Roberts, Charlize Theron, Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore, Sharon Stone, Gwyneth Paltrow, Marion Cotillard, Léa Seydoux, Penelope Cruz, Scarlett Johansson, Isabelle Hooper… They all walked the red carpet adorned with diamonds and diamonds. A collection of rugs from a Swiss jeweler dedicated entirely to the May event.
Jewelers Award
The golden palm branch, moral gold since 2012, is also a symbol of this steadfast bond. In 1998, Caroline Scheffele, co-chair and creative director, reinvented the prestigious award at the request of the then festival director, Pierre Viault. The jewelry house is still the only one authorized to engrave this coveted award, as well as all awards presented at the closing ceremony. A golden palm of 19 leaves of 18 carat gold rests on a one kilogram emerald-cut rock crystal cushion.
No less than forty hours of work are required by five craftsmen to bring this legendary trophy to life, the design of which clearly refers to the palm trees of the Croisette and the coat of arms of the city of Cannes. Official partner of the Cannes Film Festival, Chopard makes every edition shine. The 77th is not an exception. After choosing art as her theme in 2023, Caroline Scheffele once again this year combines a contemporary vision and traditional artisanal know-how with a fairy tale ready to enchant the Croisette.

A fairy tale
To visualize her 27th collection, designed for French and international celebrities, Caroline Scheffele took her inspiration from the world of fantasy, but also from her childhood memories, inspired by her endless love for nature and animals. Result? A magical collection of 77 precious jewels, between fantasy and reality, where fire-breathing dragons rub shoulders with ethereal fairies, mushrooms steal the show from frogs and elves. A breathtaking universe. As evidenced by this necklace inspired by the oak, a majestic tree, a symbol of strength and power and host to many small animals, insects and birds, a fairy tale in itself. Just like this 17.7-carat tourmaline ring with two titanium and emerald frogs holding a crown of rubellites and white and yellow diamonds. Or a mushroom, with a delicate layered cap, all white, orange, cognac and brown diamonds, with a gradient of size and color.

But for the most magical gem, the gold bank definitely goes to the magnificent tiara and her fairy with mother of pearl wings. Surrounded by a shower of stars and diamond drops, the enchanted set can also work its magic worn alone as a brooch, a discreet and symbolic image of this wonderful world. The markets of 2024 will therefore be more about fine jewelry, magic and poetry than ever before.
