Many stars were honored with their presence at the state dinner organized on the occasion of the official visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to French territory at the Elysée on Monday, May 6.
This Monday, May 6, during the Met Gala, Anna Wintour’s fashion event in the United States, Emmanuel and Brigitte Macron hosted Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan in France. After Macron came to power, this is their third official visit to the country. On the occasion, many Chinese and French dignitaries came for a 5-star dinner.
On the one hand, directors Jean-Jacques Annan and Luc Besson, singer Mireille Mathieu and actress Sophie Marceau. Jean-Michel Jarre, the godfather of electronic music, was next to his wife Gong Li on the cultural side, the Chinese pianist Lang Lang, and then the French architect Jean Nouvel.
Caviar and crab meat
The dinner also included the presence of many ministers who surround Emmanuel Macron every day. Among them are the Minister of Sports Amelie Odea-Castera, Bruno Le Maire, the Minister of Economy and the Speaker of the National Assembly, Yael Brown-Pivet. Old ones too, like Jack Lang or Dominique de Villepin. Not forgetting great business leaders such as LVMH Group Chairman Bernard Arnault, who came with his daughter Delphine Arnault, and Kering President François-Henri Pinault, in the arms of his wife Salma Hayek.
It should be noted that the guests were offered a delicious lunch, an appetizer – crab meat and caviar, as a main course – Bresse chicken with baby spinach, spring strawberries and crispy meringue for dessert.
