In addition to denying accusations of plagiarism, Min Hee Jin, from ADOR, questions the reasons why HYBE would have invented the information
In an emergency press conference to clarify and bring new points about the conflict between the HYBE conglomerate and the subsidiary ADOR, the CEO Min Hee Jin addressed the accusation that she said BTS copied her, stating that the allegations made are false.
The accusation arose through the audit carried out by HYBE on ADOR after suspicions that the sub-brand’s management was planning to make the agency independent. In the reports, there would be information that Min Hee Jin spoke about the president of HYBE to an external person, adding that he only achieved success by plagiarizing it and that BTS “copied” it, as reported by the Yonhap portal (via Koreaboo).
So, at the press conference, Min Hee Jindenied HYBE’s allegations. “Everyone who knows me knows that I have shares and received things. The things revealed by HYBE are only for your advantage. For me, they are all false. Why are they calculating things like this? Does not make sense. There are many things like that. I never said ‘BTS copied me’.”
He then directed his speech to HYBE, questioning why the company would have invented the information: “How could they go as far as to do this? I want to ask why they are trying so hard to transform me into a person strange.”
It is worth mentioning that Min Hee Jin further states that the rivalry between HYBE and ADOR arose after the subsidiary accused another brand of the conglomerate of plagiarizing NewJeans: BELIFT LAB, which allegedly copied the group’s concept for its newly formed brand, ILLIT.
The case remains ongoing.
