The prequel chronicles the early years of the villain Mufasa. The film will hit theaters on December 20 this year.
Disney studio showed a new trailer for the movie Mufasa: The Lion King. It is reported by different types.
The new film is expected to focus on the early years of the future beast lord, as well as his fearsome younger brother Scar.
The footage, not yet available to the public, shows the same realistic, stunning African savannah, and the trailer begins with the iconic overture to In the Lion King. A young Mufasa leaps over rhinoceroses and other jungle creatures as Rafiki’s voiceover tells the story of “a lion born without a drop of royalty in his blood… a lion that will change our lives forever… a lion that sets our destiny.”
According to the publication, the film takes place before the events of the studio’s 2019 photorealistic reimagining, rather than the 1994 cartoon. According to the official logline, Mufasa returns to the African savannah when Rafiki tells Kiari, the son of Simba and Nala, the story of his grandfather.
The film will hit theaters on December 20 this year.
It was previously reported that Netflix released a trailer for the third season of the series The Bridgertons.
