The Ministry of Culture has introduced new elements to the intangible heritage of Ukraine

All these elements are traditional for the communities of the Vinnytsia region.

The Ministry of Culture has introduced six new elements to Ukraine’s intangible heritage. This was reported by the Vinnytsia Regional Council.

As a result of the meeting, the regional list of intangible cultural heritage was filled with new traditional elements for the communities of the Vinnytsia region:

  • The tradition of preparing and consuming Mamaliga with a brazier from the community of Studenyansk.

  • The tradition of preparing and consuming millet cabbage rolls on beet leaves in the village of Berezhanka, Obodovsk commune.

  • The tradition of preparing the spring-summer dish Trusyanka in the village of Vasilyevka, Ladyzhinsky community.

  • Soft moving hand-woven carpets from the Dzhulinsk community.

  • Ritual action Wearing kuzhel in Belashki village, Pogrebischensk commune.

  • The tradition of performing brass music in the village of Borovka, Chernivtsi settlement.

We remind you that earlier the tradition of the Generous Night was recognized as the intangible cultural heritage of Ukraine.
