Anthony Mackie, the new Captain America, reveals difficulties in working at Marvel

In an interview with Radio Times, Anthony Mackie, protagonist of “Captain America 4”, a film scheduled for release in 2025, revealed details about the difficult part of working as an actor at Marvel Studios. Among the arguments, the star highlighted the filmmakers’ limited creativity in relation to the brand’s characters.

“I would say at Marvel it’s completely different because it’s a controlled entertainment space. Like, there’s a limit to what you can do. There’s a limit to creativity because Stan Lee gave us so much content.

Whereas with this series [Twisted Metal] It’s something like: ‘There’s a guy and a girl… And turn around!’ So we were really able to build a world around the characters,” Mackie explained when asked if being in the MCU prepared him for his role in Twisted Metal (via The Addiction).

Titled “Captain America: Brave New World”, the character’s fourth film is scheduled for release in February 2025, with Anthony Mackie in the title paper. The first version of the film’s script was written by Malcolm Spellman It is Dalan Mussonfrom “Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, however, he is being reworked by Matthew Orton. The film is directed by Julius Onah (Luce).
