These artists born in the 1980s and 1990s, already cataloged and collected, express themselves loud and clear with paint, thread, new technologies… to name four names.
Jeanne Viserial, on the edge
His journey : Skinned human figures, framed butterflies and prototypes decorate the walls in his studio in Montreux, near Paris. Jeanne Viserial (born 1991), 2019 Sustainable Creation Award, blends fashion design and fine art. His young career was marked by two events: an internship with the stylist Hussein Chalayan, known for his experimental creations, and his residency at the Villa Medici, where he discovered “male bodies in full armor and promiscuous Venuses in wet sheets.” Forgetting the three dimensions imposed by ready-to-wear, he decided to sculpt mighty gorgonians. Powerful, but made entirely of wires. Because Jeanne Viserial does not use fabric or a sewing machine. His creatures, initially uniformly black or white in homage to classical marble statues, are now decorated with dried flowers that add color.
Its uniqueness : walk between fashion and contemporary art.
