The new televised version of the Oscars will include the awarding moment of the Ukrainian documentary film 20 days in Mariupol.
The American Film Academy will re-release the international televised version of the Oscars, where the awarding moment of the Ukrainian documentary 20 days in Mariupol was cut. Deadline reported this on Thursday, March 14.
This decision, according to journalists, was made after a complaint from Suspilny, whose team recognized the international shortened version and noticed that the Ukrainian award ceremony was removed from the 90-minute broadcast version.
On March 11, the Suspilny team expressed anger at the organizers of the award, The Walt Disney Company Limited, and decided to show Ukrainian viewers the full version of the ceremony, which was already broadcast on the Suspilny Kultura TV channel on the evening of the Ika -March 11th.
We remind you that for the first time in history, a Ukrainian film received an Oscar – the most prestigious film award in the world.
20 days in Mariupol will be released in cinemas
