1. Rapunzel
Through Disney, Rapunzel’s plot was adapted and presented in “Tangled”. In the original version, the princess trapped in the tower becomes pregnant after her first encounters with the prince, and has her hair cut off when the sorceress finds out.
Thus, thinking that his beloved had died, the prince commits an act of madness that leaves him blind. When Rapunzel gives birth to twins, the couple is reunited, and the protagonist’s tears make him see again.
2. Snow White
“Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” was the first animated feature film released by Disney, and the first in the history of international cinema. Its original version popularized by Brothers Grimmhowever, was very different and not at all recommended for children, with very violent scenes.
3. Cinderella
Considered the favorite princess of Walt Disney, the story of Cinderella also had some very different points in the original version. In the version of Grimmin addition to not having the presence of the beloved Fairy Godmother, the plot also featured some scenes of violence.
4. The Frog Prince
At Disney, “The Frog Prince” became “The Princess and the Frog”, starring Tiana and Naveen. Despite containing numerous versions, the tale became popular after the release of Brothers Grimm. One of the main differences between the version shown in theaters and the original is the breaking of the prince’s spell, which is not done through a kiss, but through more aggressive methods.
