The series is adapted from Rafaela Bakke’s biography Kaiser Karl: The Life of Karl Lagerfeld. All episodes will air on June 7.
Disney Studios has unveiled the first teaser for the series Becoming Karl Largefeld. The video was published on YouTube.
The six-part series chronicles Lagerfeld’s rise to the top of the fashion world, which began in 1972 when he was an unknown fashion designer.
The series chronicles his meeting with his longtime partner, the ambitious dandy Jacques de Bascher, as well as his rivalry and friendship with fashion icon Yves Saint Laurent and the latter’s businessman and partner Pierre Berger.
The role of the future creative director of Chanel, Fendi and Chloé was played by Daniel Bruhl.
