Netflix showed a play about Putin

The play will be directed by British screenwriter Peter Morgan, best known for his work on the TV series The Crown.

The streaming service Netflix has shown a Broadway play called Patriots. It’s about Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is reported by different types.

The play takes place in 1991, after the collapse of the Soviet Union. The play tells the story of Russian oligarch, billionaire Boris Berezovsky. He helped Putin gain power. And later he became an outspoken critic of the Russian president and died in 2013 in London under mysterious circumstances.

The New York premiere is scheduled for April 22, 2024. The play will run at the Ethel Barrymore Theater for 12 weeks.

As a reminder, Netflix intends to raise prices in 2024 to accelerate revenue and profit growth.
