Butch’s film was shown in eight cities in the United States. The main mission of the demonstration is to counter Russian propaganda and remind Americans about the war in Ukraine to continue helping the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This was reported by the press service of the film.

It was learned that the feature film’s creative team’s two-month US tour ended at the end of February. Private screenings were held in eight American cities: in Washington at the Ukrainian House, in New York at Columbia University, at the Ukrainian Institute of America and at the Harvard Club, in Los Angeles at the Ukrainian Cultural Center, in Salt Lake City during Sundance Film Festival, in New Jersey at the Cambridge Club House, in Philadelphia, San Diego and Boston.

The honored guests of the events were the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to the UN Sergei Kislitsa, Ambassador Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the United States Oksana Markarova, William Taylor – American diplomat, human rights activist and writer Mitke Perdue, President of the Ukrainian Institute of America Katie Nalivaiko, representatives of the Institute of Peace, film director Rob Nilsson, William Goldstein – American composer, winner of three Emmy nominations and a Grammy nomination, Semyon Dukach – managing director of Techstars, also known as a leading business angels, American congressmen, business representatives, local departments and the general public, who for two years supported Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor and continue to provide their support.

American media showed interest in the film’s release: CNN, Forbes, TIME, New York Times, Vox, Financial Times, Daily Mail, Newsmax, USA Today, WSJ, Foreign policy.

As you know, the plot of the film is based on the events that took place in the cities of Bucha, Vorzel and Gostomel during the Russian occupation in February-March 2022. The film will tell about the rescue of local residents by Konstantin Gudauskas, a citizen of Kazakhstan who received asylum in Ukraine and settled in Bucha. At the beginning of the Russian invasion, thanks to his Kazakh passport, he was able to travel through the territory occupied by Russian troops and evacuate civilians. Konstantin not only saved people, but also saw with his own eyes the horror of war and work.
