An All-Ukrainian open architectural competition was announced in Lviv for the restoration of the Museum of UPA General Coronet Roman Shukhevych, which was destroyed as a result of Russian shelling on the night of January 1. This was reported to the Lviv City Council.
The chief architect of Lvov, Anton Kolomeytsev, said that the jury will consider all possible options for the restoration of the Roman Shukhevych Museum, as well as the development of the surrounding area, and choose the best.
“We have collected all possible documentation about the museum, the exhibition, what it looks like, important elements, including the kryivka, which we want to reproduce in its original form. We want to preserve as much authenticity as possible here. In particular, for this purpose we have preserved a real brick, which we managed to preserve undamaged to be obtained from the shelling area. Therefore, all living elements will be used. At the same time, we must use modern methods to ensure the inclusiveness of the space , as well as ensure the proper functioning of the ventilation and air conditioning systems for the museum,” said Kolomeytsev.
You can register for the competition from March 5 to 17:00 March 25, 2024 using the link. You can submit your project to the competition until 17:00 on May 6, 2024. In May, the jury will determine the winners of the competition.
