At the age of 11, the boy learned that he was the Avatar – the owner of the four elements, and when the world was engulfed in a terrible war, only he could save humanity.
Netflix has released the final trailer for Avatar: The Last Airbender. The video can be viewed on the service’s YouTube channel.
The series is set in a war-torn Asian world where some people can “overcome” one of the four classic elements – water, earth, fire or air. Aang is the Avatar, the only mage capable of using all the elements, called to bring peace to the world and stop the war the Fire Nation started many years ago.
Along with his new companions Katara and Sokka, the hero learns and develops his abilities, and also hides from the Prince of the Fire Nation, Zuko, who seeks to restore his honor by capturing the Avatar.
The premiere of the series is scheduled for February 22. The first season will have eight one-hour episodes.
It was earlier reported that 20th Century Studios has released the official trailer for the Wes Ball-directed Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes movie.
