Beau DeMayo, showrunner of ‘X-Men ’97’ revealed whether the animation will be part of the MCU; look!
When asked by a fan, via Instagram, if ‘X-Men ’97’ will be related to the MCU, Beau DeMayo, the animation’s showrunner, was direct in his response: “We are our own thing.” Showing that the series will be independent of the current Marvel universe, having no connection with it, at least not in the first season.
It is worth noting that ‘X-Men ’97’ will be the first mutant project produced by Marvel Studios since, previously, the rights to the characters belonged to Fox. Because Marvel is involved, expectations for the release of the animation are more than high. The new mutant animated series will be released worldwide on March 20, 2024, via the Disney+ streaming service.
Furthermore, the animation will be a direct continuation of ‘X-Men: The Animated Series’, which came to an end in 1997. Because of this, the project promises to bring several of the original voice actors (in English), such as: Lenore Zann (Rogue), George Buza (Beast), Cal Dodd (Wolverine) and much more. In Brazil, the series is available in its entirety through Disney+, under the name ‘X-Men’, click here and watch!
