The series first aired on television in Britain and Ireland on September 26, 2010. The series concluded its sixth season, the final episode of which was televised on December 25, 2015.

Filming for the new season of Downton Abbey has begun in secret in the UK. The historical drama, the last episode of which aired just over 8 years ago, is not expected to return for its seventh season. The Daily Mail reported this.

It is not yet known if Hugh Bonneville, Michelle Dockery, Elizabeth McHovern and Joanne Froggatt, who starred in all episodes of the previous six seasons and two full-length sequels in 2019 and 2022, will return to the screens. However, the productions said executive that they were “delighted” with their casting.

The series, which was filmed at Highclere Castle in Hampshire and covers many social changes and world events between 1912 and 1928, is expected to return later this year.

“Filming has been going on for weeks, it’s all very secretive. There are people working on it who have never seen such a secret. Those working on the set were forced to sign non-disclosure agreements so they wouldn’t give away the game, but there is a lot of excitement about the return of Downton “It has been a huge success in the past and there are so many other stories to tell. Even though it seemed too embarrassing for them to do anything else, it was done,” said a source close to the project.

It was previously reported that 20th Century Studios has published the official trailer for the film Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes directed by Wes Ball.
