Find out which are all the episodes of One Piece that are not canonical, that is, that were not taken directly from Eiichiro Oda’s manga
“One Piece” began as a manga series in July 1997, featuring a band of pirates, known as the Straw Hats, who search for the fame, power and riches contained in the world’s largest and most sought-after treasure left by the Pirate King, Goal D. Roger.
It was so successful that the universe created by Eiichiro Oda on the pages ended up being expanded to different formats, such as games, animated and live-action films, TV series and even anime, the latter being responsible for opening the franchise’s doors to the audiovisual format.
This is because the “One Piece” anime premiered in October 1999. Produced by Toei Animation, the work has been airing for around 25 years, and has not yet come to an end, constantly receiving new episodes, as the manga also continues in progress.
Still, so that the anime’s plot does not go beyond the story already developed by Oda In mangas, some resources are necessary to keep the production alive for so long, in this case, filler episodes are a good option.
This is because fillers are all the chapters created to fill the space between one canonical event (based on the manga) and another. These episodes may not be watched by more objective fans, as they do not affect the understanding of the main narrative.
With this in mind, RECREIO put together a list with all the filler episodes of the anime, in addition to the “semi-filler” ones, that is, the chapters that, despite not being removed from the pages, can contribute in some way to the understanding of the story, ordering all of them through sagas and arcs. Look!
