The sequel to “Zootopia” finally has a release date; Find out when the film hits theaters!
Last Wednesday, the 8th, Disney officially announced the release date for “Zootopia 2”. The announcement was made by Bob Iger, CEO of the Walt Disney Company. The animation had its premiere scheduled for November 26, 2025, on which date the North American Thanksgiving holiday is celebrated.
In a recent interview with The Direct, Brad Simonsen, producer of the animation, left fans happy when talking about the sequel. This is because he guaranteed that the film will maintain the quality of “Zootopia”, and may even surpass it!
We are all very excited about this project. The first film was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. The next one will be as good or better than the first. So, yes, we are excited about this project,” he said. Simonsen.
“Zootopia” was released in 2016 and became one of Disney’s most acclaimed films. So much so that the film received several important awards such as Oscar, Golden Globe, Annie Award and many more! In Brazil, it is available through the Disney+ streaming service.
In the film, we meet Judy Hopps, a small farmer who wants to move to the big city, Zootopia, and become the first bunny police officer. When she manages to achieve her goal, she is assigned to find a lost animal. Counting on the unexpected help of Nicka fox known for committing infractions, Judy discovers something that could affect the entire city.
