After the success of “Love Wins All” alongside V, find out which other BTS members soloist IU was able to perform duets with!
Last Wednesday, the 24th, the South Korean soloist UI released “Love Wins All”, the pre-release single from her future new album. The track was accompanied by an MV, where the singer appears alongside V, from BTS, playing a couple of survivors in a post-apocalyptic future. Remember!
In addition to the clip, the two have already been together on another occasion. This because V participated in IU’s Palette, a music program led by UIin which a special guest is welcomed into each episode for a chat about music.
In this ocasion, V released his solo debut with the album “Lavoyer” and, in addition to enjoying one of its tracks, “Love me Again”, in the voice of UI, he was also able to perform a lovely duet alongside the artist, as they sang together “Ending Scene”, a song from the soloist’s album “Palette”. Look!
After finishing the presentation, UI praised the idol: “It would be good to do more duets like these! Your voice mixes well with that of others. That’s a strong point! Whether it’s with a male or female voice. I think your voice would work with singers who even do completely different genres. I felt it!”

Even so, V wasn’t the only member of BTS to collaborate with UItwo more idols had this chance: Suga It is J-Hope!
Suga
Suga He was the first member of the group to collaborate with the idol, as well as the pioneer among them to perform two feats with the soloist. The first time they worked together was on May 6, 2020, with the release of “Eight”, a track whose lyrics were written by the two who, at that time, were 28 years old.
As musicians of the same age, the two singers were able to bond and create their own synergy for this song,” IU’s agency stated in a statement (via UOL).
At launch, the hashtag #IUxSUGA had more than 2 million mentions on Twitter, and over the days, the track proved to be a success, as at the time it swept the domestic music charts and iTunes charts around the world, achieving a Perfect All-Kill.
The most recent collaboration between the two came on the final album in the trilogy of August D (solo identity of Suga): “D-day”. Titled “People, Pt.2”, the song was the first track from the new album to be revealed, being released on April 7 last year. Look!
To promote the new album, Suga was invited to one of the episodes of IU’s Palette, where they sang “eight” live together for the first time, also marking the most recent duet between them. Remember!
J-Hope
The second BTS idol to achieve the feat was J-Hope. The artist participated in episode 14 of IU’s Palette as part of the promotions for “Jack in the Box”, his first solo album, marking the first face-to-face chat between UI It is J-Hope.
More than that, the occasion also brought the first live performance of the track “Equal Sign”, present on the idol’s album, which, in fact, became a duet, as UI also lent his voice to the performance. Remember!
After the performance, UI commented on the track, revealing that it served to make them more comfortable during the interview: “The lyrics are very hopeful. Now that we sing a song together, it feels like we’re a lot closer. This is due to the lyrics. Singing lyrics like ‘we’re not so different’ really made me think that way.”
In addition, they also performed “Pierrot Laughs At Us”, by UI. Look!
Would RM be the first?
please note that UI declared his desire to collaborate with another member of BTS: RM. The revelation came in an appearance by the idol on the online talk show Suga“Suchwita”, since, while they were commenting on ‘Eight’, she said that, initially, the idea was to perform a feat with the group’s leader, as she had called Suga to ask for the rapper’s number.
In the conversation, UI revealed that, probably, the concept of collaboration would be “something really serious”, since, at that time, she states that “I wasn’t in the best place [mentalmente]” and wanted to “bring out these emotions in a song.”
But, even if I had managed to get in touch with RM, she said that she never made the call, since, at the time, the two had not been introduced. “I couldn’t muster up the courage to just call someone I didn’t know.”
In the end, I never called RM. And after that, I just lost interest in making that music. Then I suddenly thought of ‘Eight’. I created the title first [porque eu tinha 28 anos na época]”, concluded IU.
