British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has called for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 to be held in Ukraine. Sky News reported this.
“The Ukrainians won the Eurovision. I know we have an amazing number, that we got second place, and I want the tournament to take place in our country. But the truth is: they (Ukraine) won and deserved -they should handle it “, Johnson said on his return from Kyiv.
Recall, the European Language Union said on June 17 that the Eurovision Song Contest in 2023 could not be held in Ukraine, so their representatives turned to the UK as they took second place this year.
Minister of Culture and Information Policy Oleksandr Tkachenko said he wanted to challenge the decision.
