Seth Myers refuses to believe anyone – especially Rudy Julian – who drinks the Pepsi diet at will.
“Rudy Julian wants you to know that he was excited about the swearing in of Trump’s former aides, that he was drunk on election night,” said a Late Night presenter, referring to the House of Representatives results in the second hearing on Monday. The committee was elected to investigate the attack on January 6, 2021.
Aides said Julian, Donald Trump’s personal lawyer in the 2020 election, was drunk when he advised the then president to wrongly declare victory while the votes were still being counted.
Julian tweeted after the hearing that he was “shocked and angry” at the allegations of being drunk.
“I refused alcohol that night. “My favorite drink … Pepsi diet,” he wrote.
Myers said that’s what Julian said.
“I’m sorry, pare. you just give up. “The Pepsi diet doesn’t have a favorite drink,” he said. “Is Lorna Duns your favorite cookie? Diet Pepsi is what you drink while traveling when they don’t have diet coke, lemonade, chocolate milk, coconut water, camel skewers, or regular Pepsi.
