The third film in the Avatar franchise had updates revealed by Sam Worthington, the interpreter of Jake Sully, the protagonist of the work
‘Avatar 3’ is about to take shape! The information was released by Jake Sully’s interpreter in the franchise, Sam Worthingtonwho in an interview with People (via Omelete) revealed that recording for the sequel should begin in February this year.
We’re back to work in a month, and it’s a pretty big production. It’s bigger and more epic than people realize,” she commented.

Created by the filmmaker James Cameron (Titanic), the “Avatar” franchise began in theaters in December 2009, where the public was able to meet the main figures of the saga. That’s because the plot follows Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), the human who is sent to the alien moon Pandora to send Earth necessary information about the location in support of Earth’s exploration of precious metals there.
However, upon meeting the Na’vi tribe, where Neytiri (Zoe Saldana) will be responsible for introducing him to all the beauty of that civilization, Jake ends up realizing that he is on the wrong side of the war, and will do everything in his power to protect his new home.
The first sequel hit theaters 13 years later. Titled “Avatar: The Path of Water”, the plot shows that Jake and Neytiri formed a family, as well as introducing a new Pandora clan: the Metkayina, known as the water tribe. In the film, an old threat resurfaces, and the main couple will have to fight a new battle against humans to stay alive and together.
In addition to the two feature films, two more sequels are planned. “Avatar 3”, which should start filming in February this year, is scheduled to premiere in December 2025, while the fourth feature film in the franchise should only arrive in 2029. Both productions have not had their official titles released.
