The film 20 days in Mariupol has long been shortlisted for BAFTA awards

The final list of BAFTA nominees will be announced on January 18, with the awards ceremony taking place a month later on February 18.

Mstislav Chernov’s Ukrainian documentary “20 days in Mariupol” has long been shortlisted for the prestigious BAFTA award. This is reported on the award website.

In particular, the film, which tells about the siege of Mariupol in February-March 2022 during a full-scale Russian invasion, falls into two categories – “Best Documentary” And “Foreign language film.”

  • “Past Lives” (USA, director Celine Sohn).

  • “Snow Society” (Spain, director Juan Antonio Bayona).

  • “The Taste of Things” (France, director Tran Anh Hung).

  • “Teacher’s Room” (Germany, director Ilker Chatak).

  • “Zone of Interest” (USA, UK, Poland, director Jonathan Glazer).

It was previously reported that the film 20 days in Mariupol directed by Mstislav Chernov was included in the shortlist of the 96th Academy Awards.
