The writer says he has three scripts for cartoons in the world of A Song of Ice and Fire.
American science fiction writer George Martin said that the world Songs of Ice and Firethe basis for the HBO series Game of Thrones, could be one step closer to coming to life in animated form. He wrote about it on his blog.
He said he is working on several animated series based on his cult fantasy novels. However, none of them have received the green light yet.
“It just so happens that HBO and I have our own animated projects in the world Songs of Ice and Fire. None of them have gotten the green light yet, but I think we’re getting closer to the next step with some of them,” he wrote.
Author Game of Thrones also shared that he previously developed four animated series from HBO, but two of them were shelved. So the science fiction writer worked on two animated series, and now one more is added to them – about Corlis Velaryon, who was called the Sea Serpent.
“Work continues on two more animation projects. We’ve put it on hold for the time being Nine journeysour series about legendary journeys Sea Serpent, from live action to animation. I fully support this move. Budget constraints would likely make a live-action version “very expensive, because half the show would take place at sea, and the need to create another port every week, from Driftmark to the Jungle to the Basilisk Isles up to Volantis and Mapa sa… on and on and on there’s a whole world out there, and we have a much better chance of showing it all through animation. That’s why we have three animation projects now,” said Martin .
It’s worth noting that a Jon Snow series is currently in development. And in early summer 2024, the second season of the series will be released on HBO. House of the dragon.
The premiere of the second season was previously reported House of the Dragon will premiere “early summer” 2024 on HBO.
