2023 will go down as a year full of memorable releases in theaters and streaming. In addition to having premieres highly anticipated by fans, many productions also had their final seasons in the last 12 months.

5th Percy Jackson and the Olympians
Although the final episodes of the first season have not yet been made available, “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” has already joined our favorites list. The long-awaited adaptation came to warm the hearts of fans after years of waiting, and even win over those who have not yet had the opportunity to read the books in the saga written by Rick Riordan.
4th The Crown
In 2023, “The Crown” came to an end, after six hugely successful seasons. Being one of the most expensive series ever produced by Netflixthe last episodes represented remarkable moments in the life of the British royal family: the deaths of the princess DianaPrincess Margaret and the queen Elizabethmother of Elizabeth IIthe wedding of Charles with Camilla Parker-Bowlesthe beginning of the relationship William with Katethe rebellious phase of Harryamong many others.

3rd Hunger Games: Song of Birds and Snakes
Eight years after the release of the last film in the “Hunger Games” franchise, the plot created by the author Suzanne Collins returned to cinemas with “The Song of Birds and Snakes”, a prelude set 64 years before the events starring Katniss Everdeen, and which presents the past of the tyrannical president Coriolanus Snow. Just like the first films, the new film also did not disappoint fans, and presented a remarkable story.
2nd The Little Mermaid
Since its announcement, the live-action remake of “The Little Mermaid” has been highly anticipated by Disney fans — and it did not disappoint in the slightest with its debut. “Barbie” was certainly one of the most anticipated releases of the year. Right after its premiere, cinemas around the world were taken over by crowds dressed in pink just to see the live-action film about the most famous doll on the planet. The film managed to please people of all ages, in addition to leaving a taste of wanting more for new productions about Barbie.
