Hyewon, debuted as an idol by becoming a member of IZ*ONE, a group that emerged in 2018, but had its disbandment announced in 2021
In an interview about the k-drama “Boyhood”, Kang Hyewonex-IZ*ONE, who is part of the production’s cast alongside Im Si Wan, Lee Sun BinIt is Lee Si Wooanswered one of the biggest questions of the artist’s oldest fans: after all, will she sing again?
please note that Hyewondebuted as an idol after being chosen on the audition program Produce 48, as one of the members of IZ*ONE, a group that debuted in October 2018 and came to an end on April 30, 2021.
With this in mind, the artist was first asked about how acting became part of her career. “Fortunately I had many opportunities [de atuar] and, as it was an area that interested me, I decided to challenge myself”, replied the idol.
Soon after, she revealed why she decided to continue acting. “When I was an active singer, I experienced various emotions through fans. As an actress, people experience a lot of emotions through me, so I feel like I work harder and am more sincere so they can feel a lot of emotions.”
Finally, she clarified one of the questions that most raises the curiosity of her fandom, revealing that, although she has no plans to return to the South Korean music industry, she still has the desire to release songs in the future:
I have no plans for singing activities. Instead of lingering feelings, I have good memories and emotions. I think it would be good to do [música] again someday.”
Coming to Coupang Play on November 24th and now available on streaming, “Boyhood” is set in the 1980s. Hyewon is Kang Sun Hwa, a girl who just with her beauty arouses the interest of Jang Byeong Tae (Im Si Wan), the protagonist of the story.
