SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan announces break after undergoing ankle surgery

Jeonghan, from SEVENTEEN, will go on temporary hiatus and will be left out of the group’s next scheduled activities; understand!

This Thursday, the 14th, PLEDIS Entertainment announced that Jeonghan, from SEVENTEEN, will take a break from activities with the group after undergoing ankle surgery. Therefore, the idol will be left out of the next shows on the “FOLLOW” tour, scheduled in Fukuoka (Japan), Bangkok (Thailand), Bulacan (Philippines) and Macau (China).

The information was released through a statement published by the agency that manages the artist and group’s career, which details that Jeonghan suffered an injury to his left ankle and underwent medical intervention last Wednesday, the 14th, after feeling severe pain at one of the tour’s shows. The procedure went well and the singer is already recovering from surgery.

Check out the full translation of the statement below:

Hello.
This is PLEDIS Entertainment.

We would like to inform you about the current health status of SEVENTEEN member Jeonghan and his future activities.
Jeonghan has already suffered an injury to his left ankle and has been receiving several conservative treatments. The artist was highly determined to participate in all pre-arranged activities for this year, so he continued his activities while having regular ankle checkups with medical professionals.

While performing on the recent tour, Jeonghan’s ankle pain worsened. He immediately went to the hospital and was diagnosed by medical staff as needing surgery.

Thus, he was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday, December 13th, and underwent ankle surgery on the morning of Thursday, December 14th. The surgery was a success and Jeonghan is now recovering.

We believed it was in the artist’s best interest to prioritize their recovery and rehabilitation above all else at this time. Therefore, it will be difficult for Jeonghan to participate in official activities for now, including the upcoming SEVENTEEN TOUR ‘FOLLOW’ TO JAPAN concert in Fukuoka and the ‘FOLLOW’ TO ASIA concerts in Bangkok, Bulacan and Macau. We ask for your generous understanding.

We will do our best to support Jeonghan’s treatment and recovery so he can meet his fans, healthier, again.

Thanks.

In addition to JeonghanSEVENTEEN debuted with 12 more members: S. Coups, The8, Jun, Joshua, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, DK, Mingyu, Seungkwan, Vernon It is Dino.
